- Audrey O’Shea, Tirlán, Ireland
With an Earth Science degree and having attended Cambridge to study Business Leadership in Sustainability and later the Bord Bia’s Origin Green Ambassador sustainability programme in UCD Smurfit’s , Audrey has worked for Tirlán for almost 19years.
Throughout that time Audrey has held a variety of leadership roles as Ingredients Environmental Coordinator , Sustainability Manager, Head of Environment and Sustainability Compliance overseeing the Environmental Compliance and Sustainability reporting across all of Tirlán’s sites and last year was appointed to a new position as the Tirlán Group Head of ESG Strategy and Partnerships where Audrey is instrumental in the development of the Tirlán Sustainability Strategy “Living Proof” and strategic sustainability engagements.
Audrey was a key figure in Tirlán (then Glanbia Ireland) becoming the first Irish Owned company to achieve an Energy Management system accreditation and works closely with customers to establish their product Life Cycle Analysis as well as dedicated carbon reduction programmes
Throughout her career Audrey has represented Tirlán and the Irish Dairy Industry Nationally and Internationally in matters concerning the European Union’s Emissions Trading Scheme, Bord Bia’s Origin Green, the Dairy Sustainability Framework and SAI platforms Sustainable Dairy Partnership and in doing so has helped Tirlán to win awards such as the International Responsible Business Awards for Best B2B partnership , the Green Food and Beverage awards and most recently Tirlán celebrated being the first ever company to have achieved Origin Green Gold membership status for five years in a row.
