James Neville, Chief Executive Officer, Volac
James Neville obtained his Degree in Food Science at Reading University followed by an MBA from London Business School.
He joined Volac in 1989 and, after holding a number of positions including that of Operations Director between 1994 and 2003, became Managing Director in 2003 and Chief Executive Officer in 2012. James is now responsible for driving the company’s global business strategy across Human and Animal nutrition markets.
James has a real passion for the dairy industry and has been a key driver in promoting the nutritional benefits of whey to the broader public. He recently chaired the Dairy 2020 initiative which aims to deliver a strategy for the future success of the UK dairy industry and is a member of the Dairy UK Board.
He had the vision and drive to take his family’s company from its heritage as a whey processor serving select agricultural markets to a fast-growing, multi-national supplier to major food and animal feed manufacturers.
James’ entrepreneurial spirit has resulted in a real sense of ambition and pride within Volac. The purpose of the company is to promote dairy nutrition for a healthier world – a role the company is determined to achieve. James inspires Volac’s people to pursue ambitious relationships: win-win situations where the company fulfils its ambitions by helping partners achieve their ambitions.
