Mike Bones is the Managing Director for Europe at Fonterra Cooperative, based in Amsterdam. He joined Fonterra's European headquarters in 2022 as the Global Account Director for Nestlé and quickly advanced to his current role. In his capacity as Managing Director, Mike oversees all business operations across Europe. This includes managing a state-of-the-art whey protein manufacturing facility in Heerenveen, located 90 minutes north of Amsterdam, as well as overseeing sales, logistics, warehousing, food safety and quality (FSQ), regulatory compliance, and commercial activities.

Mike's journey with Fonterra began in 2012. He has a rich history of leadership roles within the company, including General Manager of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) for Consumer Foodservice within NZMP, and Sales Director for Fonterra Brands New Zealand. Prior to Fonterra, Mike worked with NZ Dairy Foods and PepsiCo in the New Zealand snack foods sector, bringing a wealth of experience from these roles to his work at Fonterra.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Lincoln University and currently resides in Amsterdam.
