Henrik Jørgen Andersen, Senior Executive R&D Advisor, M.Sc PhD Adj. Prof Research & Development, Arla Food Ingredients, Denmark
Henrik Jørgen Andersen joined Arla Foods Ingredients Group P/S (AFI) in 2014 to manage the strategic innovation portfolio and open innovation initiatives. More recently he has been appointed Senior Executive R&D Advisor at AFI with the role to guide AFI business position in a 10 to 15 year time perspective. Previously he served the parent company Arla Foods amba in different positions with relation to corporate research and innovation activities, global innovation portfolio management, intellectual properties, global nutrition and open innovation.
Prior to Arla Foods Henrik was employed in the academic environment as Assoc. Professor at University of Copenhagen (former Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University) and Research Director at University of Aarhus (former Danish Institute of Agricultural Sciences), and he is at present appointed Honorary Professor in Nano and Food Science at University of Aarhus, Denmark. Throughout his career he has been involved in national and international research initiatives, research policy and educational activities. He has a degree in Food Science and Technology and a doctoral degree within food chemistry.
